Path of the Swan Priestess
A womens visionary retreat
Invitation
Dear sister,
Across the week of the September equinox thirteen women will hear the call to gather on the land of Éire, to be guided into the mysteries of the Swan Priestess. The swan is the symbol of feminine Shamanic traditions in cultures across the world. This lineage forms part of the ancient Celtic Faery faith.
The mythos of the Swan Priestess taps into a rich vein of ancient feminine wisdom, drawing from the depths of mythology, folklore, and the collective unconscious. Across many cultures and epochs, the essence of the Swan Priestess embodies transformation, grace, purity, beauty, and the mystical connection between the earthly and the ethereal realms. Where swan medicine points to themes of transformation and the divine impetus for creation and beauty in the world.
The Swan Priestess, is a guardian of the sacred mysteries, a mediator between the worlds, embodying the qualities of the swan in her service to the divine and in her guidance of others. She is often portrayed as having a deep connection to intuition and the inner realms of knowledge, dreams, and the subconscious, navigating these waters with grace and majesty.
In Celtic mythology, swans are linked to the Otherworld and are often considered messengers of the gods, capable of traveling between worlds. The Swan Priestess serves as a bridge between the mundane and the magical, guiding souls through transitions and transformations, much like the swan’s annual migratory journeys symbolise cycles of life, death, and rebirth.
Moreover, in some tales, the swan is associated with the ability to transform into a human form, further emphasising themes of shapeshifting and the fluidity of identity. This ability speaks to the transformative power inherent in the archetype of the Swan Priestess—she who moves through different states of being, gathering wisdom and insight to share with those she guides. Her mythos invites us into a space of reflection, to consider our own paths of transformation and the ways in which beauty, grace, and deep intuition can guide us through life’s challenges and transitions. The Swan Priestess encourages us to embrace our own power of metamorphosis, to shed old forms and emerge renewed, with the wisdom of our experiences woven into the fabric of our being.
This path is a medicine for our times, a space where we can come together in circle to sing the song lines back into living memory. To build the bridge of beauty & grace, so that we may walk with more innate power and fully realise our capacity as guides within the emerging paradigm.
