Dear sister,

This is an invitation to join me for an incredibly unique experience, across the 23-27th October, 4 nights of sacred immersion, reset, vision and ceremony in the Catskills Mountains. This is a space for visionary women to gather into a moment outside of time. The Native Americans know these mountains as "Ontiora," meaning "mountains of the sky," and this region is steeped in myth and magic. The Dutch gave the name of Katzbergs to the mountains west of the Hudson, by reason of the wild-cats and panthers that ranged there. Within indigenous lore these peaks were the home of a native witch, who manipulated the weather for the Hudson Valley. It was she who let out the day and night in blessed alternation, holding back the one when the other was at large, for fear of conflict. Old moons she cut into stars as soon as she had hung new ones in the sky, and she was often seen perched on Round Top and North Mountain, spinning clouds and flinging them to the winds. Tales of this witch, often depicted as a powerful, shapeshifting female figure, were passed down through generations by various tribes including the Haudenosaunee, Esopus Lenape, Munsee Lenape, and Mohican. We bow to be granted passage to work on these lands at this time.

I began to develop a calling to visit the Appalachian region many moons ago, and when I discovered that the catskills are an outer edge of Appalachia, my soul sang with immense joy and I am eternally honoured to be invited to hold this work. It is with so much love that I open this invitation to you to join me in making magic. The intentio0n and core frequency of this work is held within a spectrum of initiating into more whole, rooted and expressive voice work. To open into a richer frequency of our capacity to harness the power of our word, sound and vibrational field. This is a unique process of healing , energy work and practice that I have cultivated over the last decade and this will be the first time i am offering this process in North America. The Flower of Fire is reflective of ancient teachings on the creative impulse of the Goddess, as the world soul, a permeating force of creation. What is known in modern gnostic traditions as Sophia and has many older names from place to place and culture to culture. The original spark.

This Flower of Fire retreat intends to hold the celebration of life, the changing of the seasons, and to nourish us in a beautiful process of gentle connection, while also allowing us to wander into the liminal veil that this time of the year presents.
